WILMOT CASTLE MODEL NO. 12 MAJOR SURGICAL LIGHT

A monumental survivor from the dawn of modern surgical illumination. This extraordinary four-reflector operating-room light preserves the massive scale, mechanical craftsmanship, and unmistakable visual presence of early twentieth-century surgical equipment.
Its circular housing, polished reflectors, textured glass diffuser, and articulated support assembly make it one of the most commanding artifacts in AIR’s growing medical-history collection. AIR is preserving the fixture for future exhibitions, educational interpretation, photography, and approved production use.
The identification and working date remain provisional while AIR continues searching for model-specific catalogs and manufacturing records.
CAVITRON-BURTON WALL/CEILING-MOUNTED MEDICAL LIGHT

Purpose-built illumination with unmistakable clinical presence. This single-reflector medical light combines a highly polished optical surface with a long, articulated support arm that allowed clinicians to position concentrated light over an examination or treatment area.
Its sculptural arm, bright reflector, and warm cream-and-brass finish preserve the visual language of a changing late-twentieth-century clinic. Today, the light can help interpret medical design, clinical work, and the evolution of purpose-built treatment environments.
AIR provisionally identifies the artifact as an examination or minor-procedure light manufactured during the Cavitron era of Burton medical lighting. Its exact model and production year remain under investigation.
PORTABLE NITROUS OXIDE ANESTHESIA DISPLAY APPARATUS
Creative-Reuse Educational Replica

This striking mobile display recreates the visual language of portable nitrous-oxide anesthesia and analgesia equipment. Its tall blue cylinder, exposed regulator, analog pressure gauge, vertical flowmeter, reservoir, breathing mask, tubing, and wheeled steel carrier create an instantly recognizable medical silhouette.
The apparatus allows visitors to visually trace the historic concept of gas delivery—from compressed-gas storage and pressure monitoring to flow measurement, reservoir storage, and delivery through a breathing circuit.
This apparatus is an educational display assembled from repurposed components. It is permanently nonfunctional and is not certified or offered for medical use.
