AIR’s Adopt an Artifact program invites individuals, families, and businesses to sponsor the preservation of an important piece of medical and institutional history. Sponsorship funds may support historical research, documentation, conservation supplies, protective storage, restoration, collections care, and preparation for future educational exhibits.

Sponsors may receive recognition on the artifact’s online page, acknowledgment on a future exhibit label, and a digital adoption certificate. Anonymous sponsorship is also available. Adoption is symbolic and does not transfer ownership, possession, control, or any legal interest in the artifact.
